Spring Has Sprung On The Palouse [at OSG]

You know it is spring in the Northern Palouse when you have to take your studs off -- and I've seen quite a few drive-thru customers with their tires commingling in the back seat wrapped discreetly in their yellow Les Swab bags!  Check out what's happening at On Sacred Grounds in the culinary department.  Elaine cooks up a storm (figuratively not literally) in the kitchen every Thursday.
This Thursday she is conjuring up a chicken vegetable medley on a bed of brown rice using locally grown chicken from Desert Rose Farms (right on Hangman Creek Road -- see ad on p. 7.

Tom Weber is coming on April 20th with fresh Cornish cross chickens on Saturday,  April 20th.  Call to reserve your bird today at 747-6294.

Elaine serves up a unique dish every Thursday.  Call for what's on the menu by Monday of that week and reserve a chair!

On Sacred Grounds is also premiering pizza sliders with mozzarella and pepperoni every Tuesday for lunch.  Prices range from $1.25 to 1.50 each.   The dining area becomes a brunch hall on Saturday mornings featuring NY Bagels with cream cheese or as a ham/egg/cheese sandwich, made-from-scratch Quiche Lorraine, Belgian Waffles with real maple syrup and a side of fresh fruit and her Wood-Fire Roasted Coffee.

Future Events: Mark your calendars!

Ladies Spa Day is returning on Sunday, April 28th with the talents of Rose Kuenkler, Linda Sandberg, Tina D'Auria and Cyndi Rae.  Enjoy Linda Sandberg's article on page 3 of the Clarion.   They will reprise their treatment programs; each person will enjoy one hour of personal attention plus a free drink for only $25.  Two sessions will be offered:
11 AM - 1 PM  and 2 PM - 4 PM.  Each session will be limited to only 8 people.  Reserve your spot today by contacting Elaine at 747-6294.  Credit cards accepted over the phone.

Look out!  The Valleyford Historical Club will present a live re-enactment of what it might have been like waiting in the Valleyford Train Deport on Saturday, May 4th.  Read p. 2 of the Clarion for more information.

Enjoy reading the April Clarion.  A hard copy should be available at the coffee shop by next Thursday.

Have a Happy Easter!
